Restricted building access

  • Campus buildings continue to be locked, with the exception of Purdue Memorial Union, which is open 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, and Hicks Undergraduate Library for wi-fi and computer access, which is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. 


Requirement for safe health practices, face masks

  • Anyone entering a campus building must wear a face mask in all hallways, public spaces and common areas as well as anytime social distancing of 6 feet is not possible. Those in outdoor situations are also required to wear a face mask if safe social distancing and gathering practices are not possible.


Instruction

  • Courses will be delivered remotely with some limited exceptions for experiential learning.


Research activities

  • Researchers will continue a phased approach to return to on-campus operations in manner that complies with COVID-19 safety criteria for research spaces.
  • To de-densify on-campus spaces, researchers should continue to work remotely whenever possible.


Employees

  • All personnel who can work remotely should continue to do so.
  • Essential personnel, generally those who cannot work remotely because their job duties require them to be on campus, must follow strict public health protocols, practice safe social distancing and wear a face mask as directed.
  • Building deputies, working with unit leaders, should begin to assess workspaces throughout their building to determine how to best meet social distancing and hygiene requirements. 


Travel

  • All university travel, including Study Abroad, is suspended. Business travel is subject to pre-approval for essential business only.


Events

  • Virtual Summer Transition, Advising, and Registration (VSTAR) will be conducted remotely.
  • In-person events are prohibited.


Visitors

  • Anyone entering a campus building, including contractors, vendors, suppliers and visitors, must wear a face mask in all hallways, public spaces and common areas as well as anytime social distancing of 6 feet is not possible, including outdoors.
