Guidance for Enhanced PPE for Close-Up, Person-to-Person Interactions in Research

The use of enhanced PPE mitigates the risk for individuals who must work in close proximity to one another, as is sometimes necessary in research spaces. Common examples from the Research Space and Shared User Facility SOPs include: user training on instruments, equipment maintenance, and work with human subjects. The guidance found here (log in with Purdue career account and password) must be followed for all activities that require individuals to work in close proximity (< 6 ft separation) for more than a few minutes.
