Can we tell faculty whose research spaces allow individuals to always be >6ft apart that they don’t have to wear face masks all day while in the space?
Currently, no. Purdue’s face mask policy requires that a face mask be worn when inside with another person in the room—it does not identify distancing requirements. This is also the case for vaccinated individuals. However, if someone is in the space alone, they can take off their mask. More information can be found here: https://protect.purdue.edu/required-covid- 19-protocols/. Any SOP protocols that are more restrictive than current Purdue policy can be relaxed down to the level of Purdue policy, but not more-so.
