May I self-quarantine outside the West Lafayette area? What are the guidelines for doing so?
Yes, students arriving from outside the United States may self-quarantine outside the West Lafayette area, but must contact the Protect Purdue Health Center at email@example.com to coordinate your quarantine and COVID-19 testing arrangements.
PPHC is the entity that will provide clearance to return to campus after your self-quarantine and COVID-19 test are complete before moving into a residence hall or Fraternity, Sorority and Cooperative Life housing and/or beginning any on-campus programming or classes.
At the end of your 14 day quarantine, you can get a PCR or antigen test done as close to arriving on campus as possible and within 14 days before you begin on-campus activities; you must email the result to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you cannot test where you are completing quarantine, then we will also have rapid antigen testing on campus that you must schedule for the day of your arrival (keep in mind there will be limited testing slots per day). Antibody tests will not be accepted.
