Old Golden Ticket Vaccination Drawing
(Looking for information on the employee vaccine incentive drawing?)
The Old Golden Ticket Drawing closed July 15 at 11:59:59 p.m. (ET) and is no longer accepting entries. Winners will be announced by July 29.
Vaccinated Boilermakers should still submit proof of vaccination here.
For 10 Boilermakers, COVID-19 vaccination will be the golden ticket to winning $9,992 — the equivalent of a year’s undergraduate tuition cost for an in-state Boilermaker since 2013 — minus the hunt for chocolate bars.
Ten students who submit valid proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by July 15 will be randomly selected and announced by July 29.
The drawing is open to current and admitted students enrolled for the fall 2021 semester on the West Lafayette campus. All undergraduate, graduate student and professional degree-seeking students, regardless of residency, are eligible to enter and win. Read the full Terms and Conditions below.

Do I have to wait two weeks after receiving the final dose, or can I enter right away?

Why is Purdue encouraging all students to get the COVID-19 vaccine?
The vaccination against COVID-19 is the surest, safest and quickest way to significantly reduce the risk of exposure and serious illness. In addition, the vaccination is another significant step toward the return to a greater sense of normalcy for the Purdue community. On a campus of 50,000 people, 95% efficacy still translates to 2,500 individuals being vulnerable to the disease.
The drawing, which is equivalent to a year of in-state tuition for those who choose to get the COVID-19 vaccination, is a fun and financially rewarding incentive that encourages all existing and incoming Boilermaker students to take this important public health step as an expression of the Protect Purdue Pledge to protect themselves, others and the entire Purdue community.
Where can I get the COVID-19 vaccine?
Purdue’s campus COVID-19 vaccine distribution site, located on the northwest side of the Co-Rec, is open to help vaccinate as many Boilermakers as possible. Hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. The vaccine administered at the campus site is Pfizer and is free for Purdue students. More information about the Purdue vaccine clinic, instructions to schedule an appointment and additional details are available here.
Individuals can also be vaccinated in Indiana at any of the more 1,000 vaccine clinics across the state. Visit https://vaccine.coronavirus.in.gov/ or call 211 (or 866-211-9966) for more information or to schedule an appointment. You also can schedule an appointment with a federal partner site, such as Meijer and Kroger. There is no cost to receive the vaccine.
For out-of-state Purdue students living in the U.S., go to Find a COVID-19 Vaccine and enter your zip code, text your zip code to 438829, or call 1-800-232-0233 to find locations near you.
Are winners responsible for any taxes?
Winners will be responsible for any federal, state and local taxes associated with the drawing. An IRS Form 1099 will be issued by Purdue University to each applicable winner. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Before accepting the prize, validated and verified Official Winners should consult with their own tax advisors to understand the potential tax impact to them of accepting and receiving the prize.
How many times can I enter the drawing?
